Story description

This warm Christmas story follows a little girl who discovers a small fir tree hiding in a snowy forest on Christmas Eve. The tree worries that she is too small and not beautiful enough to be a proper Christmas tree, so the girl and the woodland animals help decorate her with red ribbons, winter berries, and pinecones.

As the forest grows dark, a bright Christmas star brings the final touch of magic, and the little tree begins to glow. A gentle story about friendship, kindness, and learning to appreciate what makes us different, filled with snowy woods, woodland animals, and the cozy wonder of Christmas.

The Girl and the Little Christmas Tree (book excerpt)

Christmas Eve had come, and Sophie was walking through the snowy forest.

The fir trees stood quiet beneath their thick white coats, and fresh snow crunched softly under her boots.

Then, somewhere among the branches, Sophie heard the tiniest sigh.

She stopped and listened.

Behind a heavy snow-covered branch, Sophie spotted a little fir tree.

She was tucked between the tall trees as if she were trying not to be seen.

Sophie stepped closer and smiled.
“Why are you hiding?” she asked.

The little tree looked sadly at the great firs around her.

“They're tall and full, just like Christmas trees are supposed to be,” she whispered.

Then she glanced down at her own small branches.

“But I'm too little. I could never be a proper Christmas tree.”

The Boy and Very Important Cat Business

Absolutely incredible! The stories are lovely, the printing is top quality, and the illustrations are stunning. My son is obsessed — he wants it read to him multiple times a day, and honestly I never get tired of reading it either. There's something magical about a book where the hero is your own child. We pore over every page together — it genuinely feels like a collector's edition. I've been showing it to everyone and already planning to order more. Best gift idea for kids, by far.
